This Privacy Policy describes how Floors Unlimited, Inc., doing business as Floor Stuff (“Floor Stuff,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our websites (getfloorstuff.com and stainremedy.com), our mobile applications, and other related services (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide directly. When you submit a quote request, contact us, or sign up for updates, we collect the information you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, and the details of your inquiry.
  • Anonymous usage data.When you use the Stain Remedy app, we record star ratings against an anonymous browser identifier (a random ID stored in your browser's local storage). We do not link this identifier to your name, email, or any other identifying information.
  • Technical information. We may collect basic technical details about your device and browser (such as user-agent string, IP address, and pages visited) for security, fraud prevention, and aggregate analytics.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to quote requests and customer inquiries.
  • Provide and improve our Services.
  • Display aggregate community ratings within the Stain Remedy app.
  • Communicate with you about your orders or requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us run our Services (such as our database host, email provider, and hosting platform), under appropriate data-protection agreements.
  • Vendors we work with, only to the limited extent necessary to fulfill a specific quote or order you request from us.
  • Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Floor Stuff, our customers, or others.

4. Data retention

We retain quote-request and customer-inquiry information for as long as needed to operate our business and meet legal recordkeeping obligations. Anonymous Stain Remedy ratings are retained indefinitely as part of the aggregate ratings dataset.

5. Your choices

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have provided to us by emailing richard@getfloorstuff.com.
  • You can clear your Stain Remedy app ratings by clearing your browser's local storage (or by uninstalling the app and reinstalling).
  • You may opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

6. Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be brought to your attention through our Services or by email where appropriate.
